Overview
Yaakyi is a software design and development studio. This site shows our work, and lets people who like that work get in touch. This policy explains what we collect along the way — mostly the basics: pages you visit, and anything you type into a form.
We don't sell data. Most of what we collect is used to answer messages and understand which projects people respond to. If you opt into marketing cookies, we also use a limited version of this to show our work to you again on other platforms — that part is off unless you turn it on.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Two kinds of information reach us:
- What you give us directly — your name, email, and project details, when you fill in the contact or new-project form.
- What your browser gives us automatically — device type, approximate location from IP, referring page, and the pages you view, collected through analytics.
We don't ask for payment details, government ID, or anything sensitive through this site.
HOW WE USE IT
Form submissions go to our studio inbox so someone can reply. Analytics data is aggregated to see which case studies get read and where visitors drop off, so we know what to show more of.
We use what you share to have a better conversation with you, not to build a file on you.
COOKIES & TRACKING
This site sets cookies in three groups, matched to the categories in the cookie preferences panel:
- Necessary — remembers your theme choice (color or mono) and keeps the site itself working. Always on.
- Analytics — from our analytics provider, to avoid double-counting a visit and see which pages get read.
- Marketing — from Meta and Google, used for retargeting. Off by default. Nothing in this group is set until you turn it on.
You can change any of this at any time from Cookie preferences in the footer, or block cookies entirely in your browser settings. The site still works without them — you'll just be asked your preferences again next visit.
third-party services
We rely on a short list of processors to run this site: a hosting provider, a privacy-respecting analytics tool, and an email service for form delivery. Each only receives what it needs to do its job, and none are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
DATA RETENTION
Contact form messages are kept for as long as the project conversation is active, then archived for up to two years for our records. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized after 90 days.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, these rights come from the GDPR; if you're in California, from the CCPA — we honor the same request either way.
SECURITY
Data in transit is encrypted. Access to the studio inbox and analytics dashboard is limited to the people who run the studio. No system is unbreakable, but we keep the surface area small on purpose.
CHILDREND
This site is meant for people old enough to be commissioning creative work. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has contacted us through this site, let us know and we'll remove the record.
